HMS Fall Clean Up
Herndon Middle School will have a community fall clean up from 8-12 on October 6th. Please consider volunteering as a family. We will continue our facelift by working on the side of the building. Volunteers can sign up for any combinations of time slots. Click here for more information and to sign up!
World Language Credit Exam
Students in grades 7-12 who can read and write in another language can take the WLCE and earn 2 HS WL credits! We are lucky to be able to offer this exam at our school for our students. We usually have 50-100 students who test -last year we had over 40 students pass in 7 different languages! Please encourage students who speak another language to find out more about the test. Read more here.
For students who want to go home together on the bus after school: Bus Notes: a hand-written bus note, with parent’s signature, is required from both parents of the students making the request. A temporary bus pass will not be issued without the hand written notes from both families. These policies are in place for your child’s safety. Thank you for cooperation and understanding. Notes must be submitted to the office before the last block of the day.
Night Hawk Begins September 24th
Night Hawk (HMS’s After School Program) will begin on Monday, September 24th right after school. We have a blend of academic and recreational programs that students can participate in. All students must have a registration form signed by their parent/guardian before they can attend.
