Summer Programs Offered to all HMS Students for FREE (Click link to register)

SUMMER PROGRAMS WILL BE OFFERED IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLY BASED ON FCPS PROTOCOLS FOR SUMMER PROGRAMMING.

Summer Bridge Academy (for current 6th & 7th Graders): July 5 - 30 | Students will spend their summer engaging in fun activities and projects that will help them be more prepared for the 2021-22 school year.

Hawks2Hornets (for current 8th Graders): (Late July or Early August) | Rising Freshman will prepare for their transition to Herndon High School by meeting staff and learning about everything they have to offer students!

Jump Start Program (rising 7th Graders or students new to HMS next year): August 5 & 6 (Session 1) or August 9 & 10 (Session 2) | Learn how to be an HMS Hawk!  Meet some of the HMS teachers, make some new friends and see what Herndon Middle School has to offer you!  We will prepare you for day one of the 2021-22 school year.

  • Jump Start Student Volunteers Needed! Help our rising 7th Graders feel more comfortable learning about HMS in August.  Engage with participants throughout each day and participate in the traditional Student Panel.  Jump Start Student Volunteer Sign Up

 

Night Hawk Online is a FREE program for all current HMS Students!  

  • We will offer synchronous activities Monday - Friday.
  • Most activities will be recorded and available to view asynchronously on the Night Hawk Online Google Classroom.

CAPITAL ONE CODERS returns to HMS!

This weekly program will help you learn how to create your own apps/games with the help of the Capital One team!  Meet some new people and sharpen your tech skills!  Complete the CAPITAL ONE CODERS REGISTRATION FORM and email it to AJFuller@fcps.edu in order to attend our session beginning February 10!
